The school health team is part of the community nursing service, and provides health services to children and young people that attend school in Tower hamlets.
School-aged children and young people can have contact with a member of the school health service for a variety of reasons such as:
-
height and weight (BMI) screening,
-
vision and hearing assessment,
-

-

The school health service provides health promotion, advice on sexual health, advice on drugs and alcohol and support with sensitive issues, including safeguarding such as child protection, domestic abuse, bullying and other concerns.
