The health trainers programme is a borough wide service consisting of
four teams of trained, local people who work in different venues across Tower
Hamlets.
We help you to find ways to lead a healthier lifestyle and offer support
to help you make positive health changes.
Health trainers can help by:
-
signposting people to appropriate
services, activities, and specialist organisations relevant to supporting their
health and health needs,
-
delivering healthy lifestyle activities
in partnership with existing services,
-
providing one-to-one motivational
support using personal development plans, and
-
providing smoking cessation
advice.
This service
is available to anyone over the age of 18 who lives in Tower Hamlets.
Mental health
The service includes dedicated capacity to provide healthy lifestyle support to people in the community with mental ill health.
