We are writing to patients who had a vaccination at St Pauls Way Medical Centre E3 before 11 October 2006 to ask them to have a repeat vaccination.
This follows the discovery of a problem with the storage of some vaccines there, which unfortunately means we cannot guarantee that the vaccines were effective.
If you are travelling abroad soon, for example to Hajj, this is especially important for you.
Repeat vaccinations are safe and will be provided free of charge.
MMR (measles mumps and rubella), BCG (tuberculosis) and this year’s flu vaccines were not affected by the problem and no repeat vaccination is needed.
If you think you might be affected please call our special help-line number 020 7536 1524 from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Please do not ring the practice directly.
No other surgeries have been affected by this problem.
