Healthy lives, healthy people: our strategy for public health in England – white paper consultation

The public health white paper Healthy lives, healthy people: our strategy for public health in England, published on 30 November 2010, sets out the government's long-term vision for the future of public health in England.

The aim is to create a new ‘wellness’ service (Public Health England) and to strengthen both national and local leadership.

Have your say

For further information and to have your say on the government's proposals, see:

Consultation on the white paper for Tower Hamlets health and social care professionals

In addition to the national consultation, NHS Tower Hamlets is giving health and social care professionals a chance to comment both on the white paper as a whole and on local implications of the changes proposed within it. This consists of just three questions. You can reply online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/52PM3BG.

Closing date

The closing date for responses is 31 March 2011.
