The chief executive of NHS Tower Hamlets is Alwen Williams. She has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of our organisation and is supported by a senior management team.

The NHS Tower Hamlets board is the governing body of our organisation and has corporate responsibility for all of our activities. It aims to provide leadership, to look ahead and set the strategic aims, and to identify and maintain our values.

Commissioning executive committee
One of the main sub-committees of the board of directors is the commissioning executive committee. Its role is to work closely with the NHS Tower Hamlets board and management team to help develop and plan the future direction of health services in Tower Hamlets.
