NHS East London and the City has a major incident plan that details how we will respond in the event of a serious incident or emergency.
The purpose of planning for emergencies is to ensure we can provide an effective response to any major incident or emergency and to ensure that our organisation returns to normal as quickly as possible.
We work closely with all other services who respond to a major incident, including local hospitals, emergency services, and the local council.
